OK so because schools are public and anyone can attend them
I think we should make them safe. I am also sure everyone can agree with that.
1.
So we start putting metal detectors in the
schools and start keeping kids with homework after school to do the extra work
that way no kid can bring in weapons hidden in their back packs, because they won’t
need back packs. I am sure big business would not like that would they? If it
is about keeping our children safe then we should do what it takes right?
2.
Armed guards at every school. This should do the
trick. I don’t think arming teachers is a good idea in high schools though
because some kids are pretty strong and may take the weapon from the teacher
and that could be a disaster. There has always been security in school just
clear them through the FBI and arm them.
Suicide kills more people with guns than homicide does. And most
homicides are committed with hand guns not Armalite Rifles. It is a tragedy that schools are being
targeted but it also begs the question why? Children or the use of them in
arguments always makes a strong argument and people tend to listen when it
comes to things that harm children. My thought on all this is, why?
In the grand scheme of things there are 2 types of people in
this world just like in the wild. 1. You have the predator and 2. You have the
prey. Heard a great man once say that “most prey has some sort of defense to fight
off the predator” some of the time that defense works and other times it does
not.
The fact of the matter is, the prey has some kind of defense.
The deer have antlers and those can be one heck of a protective device but if
you take those away they become easy prey. When you add this reference to
people, it’s the same thing when the people have guns they can protect
themselves from the predator and that predator can show itself in many forms. Predators
in our life are criminals and in some cases Police and our government. These are
things that we need to protect ourselves from, and if one of those predators
takes that protection away then just like in the wild, more predators will
emerge from the shadows and none of us will be safe.
A ton of people have used Japan’s Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto
with a false quote that has never been proven but even though it is false it
makes complete sense. That false quote is. "You cannot invade mainland United
States. There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass." This quote has
been used thousands of times. If you sit back and think about it, it makes
total sense.
Well in closing I would like to tell you that we as a human
race have unalienable rights…
We hold these Truths
to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by
their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life,
Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness—That to secure these Rights, Governments
are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the
Governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these
Ends it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute
new Government, laying its Foundation on such Principles, and organizing its
Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety
and Happiness.
